So thise are my first impressions of the visual novel Grisaia no Kajitsu. She tends to be the subject of comedy sequences more often than she is a participant, but most of these instances just reveal more of her hidden charm. I also personally really love a good kuudere, and she fits the bill, as well as seeming to have a lot of depth. She has changed the most over the course of the vn up to this point, and has had the most hinted at about her past.
Yumiko is the character that has me most interested so far.
So, I'd like to give my first impressions of all the main characters so far, talk about what makes them interesting to me. The protagonist is fascinatingly written as well, with sharp wit, and a dark, mysterious past, the details of which only being eluded to thus far. I feel a certain sense of attachment to each of the characters and am so far very interested in each of their potential backstories and the way their relationship with the main character develops. All of the characters thus far are really smartly written, multifaceted characters who, though a bit odd to say the least, have been developed in such a way that they feel genuine and believable. I'm not terribly far along, I believe I am just reaching the end of the common route before it begins to branch off into character specific routes. Known more in the west for the anime, I have most recently been reading the source material, the visual novel, which was released in english several months ago. So, first order of business is Grisaia no Kajitsu (グリザイアの果実), otherwise known as The Fruits of Grisaia.
